HARRISBURG, Pa. — As the 3D Bowhunter Challenge entered its second day at the Great American Outdoor Show on Feb. 6, a mother said the competition has become an expected event every year.

Michelle Clemente’s daughter, Ivy, has returned to compete in the 3D archery competition, three years after getting her bow.

Ivy photographed around 20 3D animals on Sunday and said she looks forward to this event every year.

“It’s fun and I came here a year and saw it, so I wanted to do this because I saw this,” 11-year-old Ivy said.

Clemente says that after seeing the archery competition, Ivy asked for a bow for her eighth birthday. After months of begging, her parents bought her a bow and she hasn’t let go since.

“She was very excited to come and shoot the 3D course, she’s been waiting for it all year. We love that she loves being outdoors, we’re a very outdoorsy family and we love that she’s taking on the challenge. challenge to do it,” Clemente said.

The daily winners of the week are selected and participate in the final on February 12 and 13.
