Hundreds of local children participated in the 45th Annual Children’s Day hosted by Leetonia Sportsman’s Club on Saturday. The free event was open to children aged 5-18. The instructors provided advice. Shooting, fishing and archery competitions were held with prizes awarded. A sausage roast took place. The event was supported by the Leetonia Police Department, the Ohio Wildlife Division, the National Federation of Turkey, Inc., the Ohio State Trappers Association, the Buckeye Big Buck Club, the Columbiana County Federation of Conservation Clubs, Mahoning Valley Friends of NRA and the Tuscarawas.
