It’s the season for some sweet Marvel action as Disney + gears up for the premiere of its next series at the right time Hawk Eye November 24.

The show follows former Avenger and Jeremy Renner archer Clint Barton on a mission to return home for Christmas, but in the meantime he faces new enemies and threats in a post-blip New York. Facing danger at his side, 22-year-old Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) is also a skilled archer and Clint’s biggest fan.

Together, they team up to unravel a criminal conspiracy, but to make it happen, Steinfeld and Renner had to step into character, which was something new for the actress who is joining the MCU under the wing of her seasoned costar.

Ahead of the show’s release, stars Renner and Steinfeld met with co-stars Vera Farmiga and Tony Dalton, as well as Marvel’s Kevin Feige and executive producer Rhys Thomas for Hawk EyeGlobal Press Conference to discuss all things Clint Barton, Kate Bishop and beyond, including what it took to get Kate ready for TV.

When it comes to lessons, Steinfeld told TV Insider that the most important thing Renner taught him was “that I was never going to shoot a real arrow. That’s the first thing he said to me, ”she says as the group around her bursts into laughter.

“For some reason, I didn’t realize that would be the case,” the actress continued before saying, “But as far as the connection goes, we really jumped into this stuff… Right into the big one. bath together. ”Steinfeld couldn’t praise his costar enough, adding,“ I felt so grateful to have Jeremy’s support and mentorship in real life, as I do as Kate. ”

And even with all the action and drama going on around them, Steinfeld notes, “We shared a lot of laughs.” This bonding experience was just as important to Renner, who shares, “I just wanted to communicate to him that I had him back and that a lot of weird things are going to happen, [that] it’s different from other types of filmmaking.
