Roy Tietz, 51, of Imlay City, Michigan, passed away on Friday February 11, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. Roy Harold Tietz was born on June 24, 1970 in Lapeer, MI. He is the son of Mary (McLean) and the late Harold Tietz. Roy grew up in Imlay City and has lived his whole life in Imlay City spending time with neighbors and friends. He was a graduate of Imlay City High School, class of 1989. He married Jamie Lee Siracki on August 22, 1996 in Imlay City, Michigan.

Roy had most recently served as kitchen supervisor at McLaren Lapeer Regional Hospital from 2012 to 2021. From high school until the restaurant was sold in 2011, he had worked at the family restaurant Tietz in Imlay City with his father, his uncle and his cousins. in all different capacities, including head chef and manager. Roy especially enjoyed his time with his family; playing golf, hunting archery, doing home projects and his mower.

He is survived by his wife, Jamie Lee Tietz; their two daughters, Samantha Tietz and Megan Tietz, both of Imlay City, MI; his mother, Mary Tietz; sister, Lezlee (Mark) Willey of Grand Blanc, MI; brothers, Kevin Tietz of Almont, MI, Bradley (Dara) Snyder of Imlay City, MI and Jason (Sandy Skinner) Tietz of Clifford, MI. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Roy was predeceased by his father, Harold Tietz.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in the City of Imlay, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Reverend Alan Casillas, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Imlay City will officiate. The family was available for visitation from 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2022 and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, February 16 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in the Town of Imlay.
