A free in-person Spring Bowhunter Education course will be offered in Sidney on June 10 and June 16-18. Students can register for the online course at https://www.register-ed.com/events/view/1. Occupancy is 35 places.

There will be a registration orientation/walk for the class on June 10 at 6 p.m. at the Richland County Extension Office, 1500 N. Central Ave., Sidney. Students should print all required files from the website and bring them to registration. Notebooks will then be distributed. All chapter quizzes must be done before the first evening of class. Students must attend orientation and all classes. Under 18s must have a parent or guardian present at orientation. Students must be 11 years old on the orientation date to enroll.

Classes on June 16 and 17 will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Bring a #2 pencil to class sessions. The June 18 session will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a field day included. Dress appropriately for the hunt and for the weather on the field day. Students must wear hiking type shoes and shorts will not be permitted. The field day with this class will not be open to online students.
